2017 rental menu for winter
We offer rental to guests who stay and are transported by us with a variety of twin tips and off mountain skis, snowboards, nutcracker tow belts and clothing.
Tune ups are done here by Georgi who for very reasonable prices puts a shine on that edge and a good coating of wax.
For serious problems we will send you to Gnomes in Darfield who have specialist tools to deal with edge rips or patches.

We don't fix blown edges or do patches. Gnomes in Darfield or the Ski & Snowboard Surgery in Christcurch do a great job.
Porters
Closest to Smylies at 25 min by car into the carpark. Great family field to advanced level or a short stroll onto the brand new redesigned in 2015 beginners slope. Nice progression to intermediate, and then onto the 4 seater quad chairlift. The regular favourites like the Leaper and Mcnulty's can be accessed via the T bars.
Great back country at this stage in Crystal Valley. Mountain Shuttle to Porters from $25 return with products purchased through us or $35 transport only. Minimum number = 1
Mt Cheeseman
Nice family field. Make sure you have chains or use our mountain shuttle to get there for $85 one way.
Craigieburn
Steep terrain, great staff, rope tows. If you want international bragging rights you need to have skied here. Mountain transfers from Smylies from $85 per person
Broken River
Long reliable season, a friendly atmosphere and a unique kiwi ski adventure. We have our own inhouse BR fanatic driver in the person of Hedge who helps with transfers from the airport to BR and has a ski. He's the person to have for the secret talks on the way up.
Mt Olympus
Even more loyal following as you will need it to get there, but well worth it. One of my favorites.
Mt Hutt
Chairlifts and big facilities. For the ones who need the creature comforts after T bars. A good alternative to the clubfields but with the crowds and attitude from staff expected from nzski.com.
Temple Basin
One of the older ones in the region. Rope tow and a warm up walk in. Doable from us for the early risers, otherwise stay up on the mountain or with our partners in the Mountain House at Arthurs Pass.
