How can you rent?
Autumn 2026
- From 8.00 am to 10.00 am, somebody is here, also from 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm
- if you are outside the time slots, you can only turn up and try your luck, don't telephone, first in first served, no reservations are possible unless you stay with us
- please don't telephone
- when you turn up, you will fill out the form so please have your ID with you and a credit card for your security deposit
- no credit card? then you need a debit card or $200 deposit( max 2 pads and 1 book per debit card or cash rental)
- when you return the gear you get refunded, have your blue copy with you .
- We are down to our last book, so you can only rent a guidebook with a mat rental when staying with us .
- So, go to , https://castlehillbasin.co.nz/ make your own account ,decide on your ability and narrow down to your choice, activate the GPS button(top right of the map) and as you head to your problem you will show up as blue dot .

Where can I stay?
With us of course,book your bed with us and get a discount on your mat rentals and reservation ability
Sure can, the Hostel is open from 3.00pm
If you are staying with us and are booked in then reservation is possible.Otherwise, first in first served, the only exception is school groups.
We have over 12 pads and 5 sit start in stock and generally don't run out .
we have a over a dozen pads and as few sit/starts ,we run out maybe twice ,3x in a year so a 97% plus chance that pads are available

No we don't. The rental rates are per day
